WHAT WE BELIEVE
OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH
Master’s Touch Healing Ministry is a Christ-centered ministry grounded in the truth and authority of God’s Word. These beliefs provide the biblical foundation for our ministry, leadership and service.
THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
We believe the Holy Bible consists of the Old and New Testament. It is the inspired, infallible and supreme authority in all matters concerning faith, doctrine and Christian living. [2 Timothy 3:16 -17, 2 Peter 1: 20-21].
THE ONE TRUE GOD
We believe in one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit equal in power and glory. God is the creator and sustainer of all things, and is perfect in holiness, love, power, wisdom, and truth. [Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14].
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, rose, bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, to the right hand of the father, and will return in power and glory. [ John 1:1-144; Philippians 2:6-11; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Acts 1:9-11]
THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. We believe the Holy Spirit enables believers to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit distributes spiritual gifts for the identification of the church and the advancement of God‘s purposes. [John 16:7-13; Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9-14, 1 Corinthians 12: 4-11]
HUMANITY
We believe humanity was created in the image of God, but fell into sin through disobedience. As a result, all people are born with a sinful nature separated from God, unable to save themselves apart from divine grace. [Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23;5:12]
Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace, through faith, in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation is not earned by human works, but is a gift of God through repentance and faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross.[Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9,10; John 3:16] We believe all who receive Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior are born again by the Holy Spirit. Believers are progressively, sanctified through obedience to the word of God and the work of the Holy Spirit, being conformed to the image of Christ. [John3:3-7; Romans 8:29; 1 Thessalonians 4:3].
The church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers who are united by faith in Jesus Christ. The church exists to worship God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and demonstrate God‘s love through service and compassion. [Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 1:22-23].
Water baptism
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Lord, and is a direct commandment of the Lord to all believers. The ordinance is symbolic of our identification with Christ and his burial and resurrection [Matthew 28:19 Roman 6:4; Colossians 2:12; Acts 10:22].
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a free gift from God and is available to all believers. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is the second work of grace received after salvation, the initial evidence of speaking other tongues as the spirit gives utterance. [John 14:16 Acts 1: 8, Acts 2:4].
HOLY COMMUNION
We believe that the holy communion as the Lord’s supper is an ordinance instituted by the Lord Jesus Christ for all believers. It is a sacred act of obedience and worship, commemorating his atoning death on the cross and proclaiming his saving work until he comes. [Luke 22:19 to 20, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26]. We believe that the bread and cup are the symbolic representations of the body and blood of Jesus Christ serving as a memorial of his sacrifice and a reminder of the new covenant established through his shed blood for the forgiveness of sins found in Matthew 26:26- 28. We believe that holy communion is to be observed reverently and prayerfully by those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Participants are encouraged to examine their hearts, confess sin and partake in a manner worthy of the Lord, recognizing the spiritual significance of the ordinance found in [1 Corinthians 11:27-29].
TITHING
We believe in the practicing of tithing. Jesus himself commanded the tithe. The writer of Hebrews establishes the tithe as the New Testament practice. Tithing is representative of our personal commitment to the Lord and is a reflection of our covenant with Him. [Genesis 14:18-20; Malachi 3:10; Matthew 23:23; Hebrews 7:8]
DIVINE HEALING
We believe that divine healing is provided through the atoning work of Jesus Christ. We affirm the prayer for the sick trusting God‘s will and timing [Isaiah 53:5; James 5:16]. Holiness We believe that Christians are to live holy lives, walking in obedience to God, loving one another, pursuing justice, and bearing witness to the transforming power of the gospel ’through word of God [Romans 12:1-2; Galatians 5:22-25].
RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST AND OUR ETERNAL DESTINY
We believe in the personal visible and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the final judgement. Those who have placed their faith in Christ will enjoy eternal life with God, while those who reject him will face eternal separation from God.
His coming will bring the fulfilment of God‘s redemptive plan and final victory over sin and death. [John 14:1-3; 2 Thessalonians 2:7; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:13; Revelation 20:11-15; 22:12].
Kingdom advancement:
We believe the church is commanded by Christ to preach the gospel to all nations, making disciples and advancing the kingdom of God until Christ returns [Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:18-20].
